Every passenger has a Transportation Security Administration story.

"I carry bits for screwguns and things like that. Pulled them out of my briefcase he looked at them and he was ready to let me go through with them. I explained what they were. And then his supervisor came over he looked at them and he said you can't take teeholes through security," said traveler James Smith.

"I saw a guy who was coming back from somewhere and he must have something on him. An alarm went off and then people came and then a dog came and then it was just like everybody stand over here," said Anthony Cohen II.

The most recent one that has raised some eyebrows comes from Colorado and involves drinks purchased inside the airport terminal. Recently travelers at a Colorado airport said while at the gate they had their drinks tested by TSA -- drinks they bought after clearing security.

"I think we all get a little upset with stuff like that. You go to other countries you're in Israel or something like that you would put up with that. You'd expect it. And maybe that's our new age," said Smith.

RDU officials said that drinks are not tested beyond the security gate here at the airport. But the TSA said this is not a new procedure and adds an unpredictable layer of security to air travel.

In addition to RDU, a TSA official we spoke with also said they have received no complaints from anyone having their drink tested at any of the six airports in eastern North Carolina.

An official from Charlotte-Douglas International Airport said the same.

Although passengers we spoke with have plenty to say about the hassles of security the TSA tries to do what they can to make sure everyone gets to their destination safely.
