CHARLOTTE -- Three people are in the hospital recovering from a crash during a high speed chase. According to the N.C. Highway Patrol, the chase began around 11 p.m. Wednesday on Interstate 77 north.

Troopers say the driver of the vehicle then got on the ramp to I-277 and somehow caused a three-car wreck. They haven't said what caused the chase. There's no word yet on any arrests.
