WILSON—The Wilson County Sheriff's Office has arrested Verna Lee Farmer as a suspect in Wednesday morning's double homicide. No bail was set.

The bodies of John Henry Little, 61, and Charlene Jones Leake, 42, were found in Little's home outside Wilson on Monday. Farmer has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder. Farmer was arrested between 12:30 a.m. and 1 a.m. Wednesday at his residence.

The weapon was found within a two mile radius of the home where the victims were found. Leake the suspect are said to have had a strong friendship according to authorities.

Police say Farmer has a violent past.
