CHARLOTTE -- A bustling biz town teaches students valuable business lessons. The Junior Achievement Summer Biz Camp teaches the importance of financial literacy, entrepreneurship and workforce readiness.

The students become business owners, government employees and complete various other jobs. They learn how to sell products, write checks and pay off their business loans.

"I think that I learned that if you don't pay off your loan to a business or to a company or to the bank," said seventh grader Raeana Macon. "Basically, it can be a really big problem."

The final Junior Achievement Summer Biz Camp session runs Aug. 2 through the Aug. 6.

The Biz Camp is sponsored by Time Warner Cable, the parent company of News 14 Carolina.
