WASHINGTON -- The Duke Blue Devils visited with President Obama at the White House on Thursday morning.

The team earned the university its fourth men’s basketball title last month in a 61-59 win over the Butler Bulldogs in Indianapolis. The team's seniors presented the president with the No. 1 jersey.

Obama says in 2009 he picked UNC to win it all and that decision came back to haunt him this year.

“This year (Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski) went out with all these guys and he won se he could come to the White House and crow about it. Payback is sweet, isn’t it coach?” Obama said. “Congratulations on your fourth national championship at Duke.”

The Blue Devils will tour the sites of Washington before returning home later in the day.
