CHARLOTTE -- Dozens of kids picked up a paintbrush Saturday, adding their touches to an uptown mural.

The Arts and Sciences Council along with the Junior Chamber is hosting a project called "paint by numbers."

All weekend long they're asking kids to come out to the area 15 building on East 15th street to help out with the painting.

Proceeds from the mural will benefit the Trips for Kids program.
It uses biking to help at-risk 10 to 15-year-olds learn valuable life lessons.
