FAYETTEVILLE -- Time Warner Cable is hoping to educate young minds with a new philanthropic initiative called Connect a Million Minds.
The program helps youth by educating them in the ways of science, math and modern digital technology.
An event held Wednesday night at the Time Warner Cable offices in Fayetteville taught students from Fayetteville Urban Ministry the science behind Time Warner Cable's digital technology with hands-on exercises.
Organizers say that the event is a great way for employees to act as mentors in the community.
"It's a great opportunity for our employees to be engaged as mentors and really showcase our technology, and again to see that next generation of, perhaps, cable engineers,” said Time Warner Cable public affairs manager Andi Curtis. “It's really exciting for us."
